Osteopathy for Pelvic Health

A sensitive area deserves special attention – mindful, personalised and on an equal footing.

Osteopathic treatment of the pelvic region – Jessica Krüger, Berlin

Pelvic health

A complex interplay

The pelvis is a complex part of the body where muscles, fascia, organs and nerves work closely together. Symptoms often arise from the interplay of various factors and can significantly impair quality of life.

At the same time, many people find it difficult to talk about these symptoms. Thanks to my two-year specialisation in gynaecology and urology, I am able to assess pelvic symptoms in a nuanced way and provide osteopathic support.

Areas of application

When osteopathy can be a useful complement

Pain in the pelvis or pelvic floorTension in the pelvic floorPain during sexVaginismusVulvodyniaBladder problems or incontinenceRecurrent bladder infectionsEndometriosis or period painTrying for a baby (supportive care)Ailments following pregnancy and childbirthScars following a caesarean section or perineal tearsPain in the coccyx

From an osteopathic perspective, I do not view the pelvis in isolation, but in relation to the whole body. Ailments in the pelvis are often not caused by a single factor. Muscles, fascia, organs, scars, the nervous system and hormonal influences can all contribute together. That is why a detailed assessment is often worthwhile.

Where appropriate, and provided you are comfortable with it, I may also carry out intravaginal or rectal treatment as a complementary measure. This examination allows for a direct assessment of the tissue, mobility, tone and function of the pelvic floor, and can provide important insights for further treatment. However, it is not necessary in every treatment session. Naturally, this will only take place after a detailed explanation, with your explicit consent and at your own pace.

My approach

Safe, mindful and consensual.

Treatment in the pelvic area requires trust. That is why, before every examination or treatment, we discuss the procedure in detail and clarify any questions you may have. You decide at all times what you feel comfortable with. You can refuse, interrupt or stop an examination at any time – without having to justify your decision.

It is important to me to create a safe space where you can feel taken seriously and secure.
